How they work

The cross-slit valve, belonging to the duckbill valve family, offers larger flow capacity when its cuspids open, making it advantageous over regular duckbill valves. It features a straight open path, suitable for applications where instruments are pushed through, like in Trocars for minimally invasive surgery. This valve prevents gas from venting during instrument insertion or withdrawal.
