Access Valves, Hemostasis Valves, Trocar Valves

Access Valves are in fact one-way valves but instead of allowing forward flow they allow instruments such as catheters or cameras to open and pass through the valve and close automatically as soon as the instrument is withdrawn. This way they act as a port and allow access to what is on the other side. This could be the arterial blood pressure in vascular surgery or a gass pressure in laparoscopy or a water pressure in arthroscopy.
